Loop Hole In My Dreaming

The vibration of the knobbies pounding Florida's pavement, combined with the chilly thoughts of the Colorado's recent storm fronts, has been helping me pass the time lately. Staying on the MTB all year long, weather it's sick singletrack or 4 lane traffic, is going to be my secret weapon for the seasons to come. Train in the position you race in....

I came across this picture the other day in my archives and it brought back a flood of thoughts considering the huge changes in the structure of the Trek squad next season. No matter what your profession or passion may be, each of us as someone who has paved the path before us and left an impact that we can only dream of coming close to. For me those two people are Zapata Espinoza and Travis Brown.

Zap has arguably done more to shape and progress modern mountain biking than anyone. Through his passion and commitment to the sport as well as to his family, he has left a permanent impression on my career. Over the course of the last two seasons I had the honor of working closely with Zap and his ethusiasim for the culture and the sport was nothing short of contagious. Having someone like Zap in your court reminds you that you are not crazy for chasing your dreams. Much respect Mr. Espinoza.
