Sacrifices = Balance

Chasing the dream as a cyclist comes with so many sacrifices. Anyone that is close to a dedicated cyclist knows first hand how these sacrifices don't always add up... there has to be a balance.

Your bikes end up worth more than your car
Your worldly goods end up in boxes because you move so much you don't have time to unpack
You have lived in a van sometime in your career
You drink Cytomax 10 times more than you drink beer
You find tan lines intimidating
You spend more time in the car than you do with your girlfriend

And you have to try to explain to a Morgage Broker why you haven't made any money in 3 years....(happened to me today!)

Yeah, but since you are Pro, that means you make a huge salary, right? That is the question I always get.

Yes, I have to say, as a Mortgage Underwriter, clients with lifestyles like yours force me to use my creativity! :-) If this gives you any hope you can do "No Income, No Asset, No Employment" loans where nothing is looked into or verified. However, you must have a high credit score, a larger down payment, and you will pay for it in the rate. But there ARE options!
I am so proud of you! Money isn't everything, so keep following your heart and pursuing your dreams!
Love from your Lil Sis
:-)

Keep the van and forget the mortgage. All you end up doing is worrying about the payments!
My bike wimpers every time I walk through the garage yet it's off to work again.
Or , it's fix the sink instead of riding (no landlord anymore).
You are young and single. Live the dream until you are ready to move on. Then get the house.
