"THE" Group Ride

HHHHHOOOLLLY CRAP!!!!! Let me introduce you to the Boulder Tuesday Night Group Ride. RUTHLESS! Right from the gun about 70 of the city's top riders roll out Hwy 36 to flex their stuff... it's the Boulder World Championships!

Now with Tyler Hamilton in the group tonight it changes things... People don't attack they just take their turn at the front pulling like a pack of wild sled dogs. I got dropped 3 times and dug deep each time to bridge back up... Oouuccchh.

At one point we were rolling at 43 mph down the flats.... at that speed riders were flying off the back of the group. The hard part was not taking your pull at the front but trying to get back on the group when your fading to the back of a 43 mph train.

Said and done it was only about 7 of us at the finish, Tyler, Jon Steirwalt, Jonathan Baker, Nick Ranno, Chad Moore and a 25 mph average. I finally popped on the final staight away to the city limit sign. When I say "Popped" I mean the CHECK ENGINE light comes on and the motor just stops! Very high quality day in the saddle!

Sounds awesome! I always enjoy a good train like that. I don't think I've ever been in one that fast.
